Workers were evacuated from a factory due to emergency procedures following a chemical spray, with three members of staff taken to hospital to be treated for their injuries.
It is thought that a mixture of chemicals were to blame for the incident, which took place at Phoenix Door Panels at West Newlands Industrial Estate, Somersham, reports the Hunts Post.
Diflufenican Technical and 3 4-dimethyl-2 6-dinitro-n-(1-ethyl propyl) aniline were being used to treat a neighbouring field, with workers at the facility claiming to feel nauseous as a result.
Phoenix Door Panels director Tracy Peck stated that a full report of the incident has been given to employees, while a hazardous area response team from the East of England Ambulance Service was called to the scene.
In the UAE, a chemical gas explosion at the Reda Industrial Materials warehouse in Dubai Investments Park recently led to the closure of the Greenfield Community School, the National reported.
